Fall Tree Painting with Cotton Balls

Sep 01, 2023 ● By The Hood Magazine

A fall craft that is great for all ages, especially toddlers! Using a clothespin to pinch cotton balls is an excellent way for young toddlers to work on their pincer grasp, which is great development for things like holding a crayon or pencil!

To do this craft at home, use a piece of cardstock or small canvas and draw a simple tree shape on it. If an older child is doing this craft, encourage them to draw or paint their own tree.

Put some fall colors of paint on a plate and grab a pile of cotton balls and clothespins. Have your child pinch the cotton ball, dip it into the paint and dab it around the tree to create the effect of beautiful fall leaves.
