How to Spread Kindness During the Heatwave
Aug 22, 2023 ● By The Hood Magazine
The late August heatwave has hit! While a lot of us may be working from inside, remember there are others that don't. Here are some little tips and acts of kindness you can do to help with those workers who are braving the heat!
1. Is it garbage day at home? Make sure you take your dumpster to the curb! Also, if you happen to be working from home and are around during garbage pick up time, offer up a couple cold bottles of water to the workers!
2. Expecting packages today? Set out a small cooler of cold beverages for the delivery drivers at your front door. Don't forget to attach a sign saying "Help yourself!"
3.If you have the ability to help out an elderly family member or neighbor, do so! Pick up their groceries, check in on them, etc. Vehicles get HOT on days like today, so keeping your vulnerable loved ones safe inside where they are cool is the right thing to do!
Even the smallest act can make a difference in someone's day!
