BUT WAIT, THERE IS MORE!

Spend a day at a Farmers Market and find all the great fall produce available! Maybe try out something new!

Go for a nature hike at one of our great area parks and see how many different shapes and colors of leaves you can find. You can bring them home to create fun leaf art!

It’s football season! Create a fun game day spread.

Decorate for fall…and for Halloween! September brings mums, but October is the time for spider webs. Find some cute things to decorate your front door area!

Find all the trunk-or-treat opportunities around town! Visit our calendar at thehoodmagazine.com as Halloween draws closer!

Bake an apple pie (with those apple’s from the orchard)! Don’t just stop at apple pie, though! You can make apple cider, cinnamon apple rings, apple cider donuts, caramel apples, and more! Find a few new ways to enjoy that apple!

Get the kids to help rake up leaves, but then let them jump into it and play.

Don’t toss those pumpkin “guts.” Scoop out the seeds and roast them for a healthy snack!

Soups on! Find a new soup recipe to try out, perhaps with some of those ingredients from the Farmer’s Market!

Get your family photos taken! Fall in South Dakota provides a beautiful backdrop for family photos, and if you get them done soon, they’ll be ready in time to send in holiday cards! P.S. See tips to make your session great on page 8.
