Christmas Tree Candy Cookies

1 cup softened butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar packed
2 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt (use sea salt if possible!)
2 cups m&m candies
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Cream together butter and sugars until combined.
3. Add eggs and vanilla and continue to beat until light.
4. Mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder in a separate bowl. Once combined, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until all combined.
5. Add in chocolate candies.
6. Using a large spoon to scoop up some dough and flatten it out onto parchment paper. Use a Christmas tree shape cookie cutter to create your cookies.
