Create a very cute St. Patrick’s Day pot of gold candy dish! This would make a great gift. Something fun to do with the family to get ready for St. Patrick’s Day!
Supplies: Terracotta pot Green acrylic paint Black ribbon Green patterned print cardstock White cardstock for handwritten message or print out saying Four-leaf clover template or create your own shape Scissors Rolos, chocolate gold coins or whatever candies you can find in gold foil Hot glue gun Instructions:
Step 1: Paint your pot using acrylic paint.
Step 2: Find a green patterned-print piece of cardstock to cut out a four-leaf clover. I found a clover shape online and printed it for a guide to create my four-leaf clover. To free-hand, create a shape with four hearts pointed inward with a stem.
Step 3: Make two slits on your clover; a little bit bigger than the size of your ribbon.
Step 4: Weave your ribbon into the slits on the clover.
Step 5: Once your pot is dry, use the hot glue gun to glue the ribbon on to your pot.
Step 6: Print or create a handwritten message saying, “Lucky to have you!” or “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”. For a decorative touch, glue that message on to another piece of cardstock for a pop of color as the border.
Step 7: Fill with candy- Rolos, Hersey’s Nuggets or gold chocolate coins. Yum!
