While the past year has seemed longer than most, this winter weather will soon give way to 
sunny skies and warmer temps. That means that it’s time to start researching those camps and 
programs that will keep your kids busy and learning over the summer months!

Yes, we know that it’s only March but many of the organizations you’ll find in ‘Hood Magazine 
this month open their registration soon and they fill up fast! In order to get you the information 
that you need to have discussions and make decisions about summer plans, we’ve compiled a list of fun learning opportunities and exciting adventures!

Apple Tree's Summer Camp Program is full of outdoor activities, field trips and hands-on projects help keep children's minds and bodies active. It runs from June 1st to August 20th and includes themed weeks. Be sure to call and reserve your spot early and find out all that our program includes like hot lunches, snacks, sunscreen, and field trip costs.

We are excited for a variety of fun arts and craft classes all summer long! Most classes are two hours long and only $10-$15! We will have something planned for children ages 3-14. Look for upcoming creative classes such as painting, paper mâché, air dry clay, oil pastel drawing, and more!

Summer Fun at CPK will be full of adventures as we explore summer topics such as camping, sandcastles, watermelons, and even bubbles!  Exciting learning centers, sing-along time, Bible lessons, and tasty snacks will round out a great morning. CPK Summer Fun is for 3, 4, 5 and 6 – year-olds. Children must be potty-trained and have preschool/large group experience.

We are a non-denominational, non-profit organization that runs camps and retreats where you can learn more about faith and horses in a quiet, small-town atmosphere! We always have great speakers, worship, crafts, games, campfires, and horses! We teach very basic horsemanship, riding in an arena, and then you get to hit the trail on over 45 acres of land!

First Tee—South Dakota is a golf and life skills youth development program that uses golf as its context. Participants will learn the fundamentals of golf while also participating in our life skills curriculum which includes core values and healthy habits. These include meeting and greeting, how to manage emotions, resolve conflicts, communication, setting goal,s and more. Clubs are provided.

Let us teach your kids how to sew in our 5 day sewing camps. We supply the materials and sewing machines. Kids will make several different projects throughout the week and learn techniques used in all basic sewing projects! Many different weeks to choose from between June and August.

All are welcome to come and make great friends while experiencing a memorable week of camp on the shores of quiet, beautiful Swan Lake.  Just 45 minutes from Sioux Falls, youth experience Christ through daily chapel, outdoor quiet times, life giving campfires, and nightly cabin devotions. Fun activities throughout the day include archery, crafts, swimming, canoeing, and recreational games.

The Nordland Heritage Foundation will continue to provide outstanding Language Camps where participants of all ages will learn basic skills of Norwegian and Spanish in a fun environment. The Safety Village of South Dakota is committed to reducing accidents involving children and teens by offering Safety Camps and Clinics to help identify safety issues, and to offer healthy injury prevention choices. We partner with community safety organizations to coordinate these comprehensive safety programs.

At Sanford POWER Academies we start you on the path to maximum performance. Try our Swim Jams. SwimJams deliver two months of lessons in just two weeks. Same great curriculum, same great instructors, same great 4:1 swimmer to instructor ratio as regular lessons. Each class is 30 minutes, Monday – Thursday.
