Five Things to Do This Week

Here are our five picks to try this week. Check out all the links below for ideas and inspiration on how you tackle this list too!

1.  Try a new recipe. There are so many fun recipes out there we can't wait to try! This week we are going to try Buffalo-Style Beef Tacos, a yummy recipe that our friends from South Dakota Beef! Click here for the recipe!

2. Read a book. Do you have a stack of books that have been collecting dust? Us too! Let's try to carve out 15-20 min a day of "me-time" and enjoy a little light reading. If you haven't had a chance to listen to the adorable children's book "Rainbows in Windows" that we shared last week, grab the kiddos and check out the video below.

3. Spring clean a closet or cabinet. Spring is the perfect time to get rid of some of the clutter around the house. We understand with the kids home from school plus just everyday life tasks, a full house top-to-bottom cleaning just isn't practical. We recommend starting with a closet or cabinet and doing a little bit at a time. When cleaning, make three four piles: keep, throw, donate, sell. Visually seeing your piles will help when deciding on what to do with items. For children's items that are no longer being used or outgrown, remember Once Upon a Child is currently open!

4. Have a dance party. This is just good for the heart and soul. Not to mention, it can be great physical activity that you can do with your kids! Don't miss our dance parties LIVE on our Facebook page hosted by the awsome DJ JER! Click here to join in the fun!

5. Draw something. This is the perfect time to try something new or maybe learn a new skill. Check out our friend's from The Maker's Nook for their simple and fun drawing tutorials that are perfect for all ages. Click here to try this cute frog drawing!
