What makes this person an inspiring teen? 

 Riley gives selflessly of his time and talent to make our community a better place day in and day out. Riley has volunteered hundreds of hours at church, at the VFW, and for the Marine Corps JROTC program at Lincoln High School. In addition to all of his hours of service, he has maintained a 4.0 grade point average for 6 straight semesters while taking an incredibly difficult class load that will allow him to enter the SD School of Mines with his entire freshman year nearly completed!  

While academic achievements and extra-curricular activities are testaments to the hard-working nature that Riley possesses, what they don’t tell you about him is the amazing heart for loving others that make Riley a truly inspiring teen. Riley has mentored countless youth by making them feel welcomed and included at church, in marching band, or in the JROTC program. Riley has gone out of his way to ensure that every person he comes in contact with has a smile on their face. Not a minute goes by when he isn’t trying to cheer someone up or make another person’s day brighter. Riley will do great things in this life because of the knowledge and skills he possesses, but he will change the world because of the love and light that he shines on each and every person he meets.
