Soy Milk Hot Chocolate

Serves: 4

NOTE: You can substitute the cocoa and sugar in this recipe for your favorite hot cocoa mix. Follow instructions on the package.


●      3 cups of soy milk or cow’s milk

●      3 tablespoons of cocoa

●      1/3 cup of sugar

Optional Toppings:

●      Cinnamon stick

●      Peppermint stick or candy cane

●      Whipped cream or whipped topping

●      Chocolate shavings, milk, dark and/or white

●      Marshmallows

●      Rolled wafer or holiday cookies


1.      Heat milk in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.

2.      When the milk is hot, stir in the cocoa and sugar. Continue stirring until completely dissolved.

3.      Pour into a thermos or other serving vessel and set on your hot chocolate cart.

4.      Arrange toppings for guests to customize their beverage.
