Our friends over at KDLT News stepped outside with us to show fun and simple actives you can do right at home. Give a child a squirt gun to paint a picture - and watch their imaginations go! We have a list of the actives and instructions below and in case you missed it, you can check out the video here: http://www.kdlt.com/2017/06/28/taking-the-summer-fun-outside-with-hood-magazine/
Food coloring
Water
Canvas (or other form of a heavy duty paper)
Add a few drops of food coloring into the squirt gun and fill with water. Let your little artist squirt a masterpiece! But remember food dye can sometimes stain, so make sure you take the appropriate steps so your not left with a permanent reminder or this activity. Laying some plastic or cardboard down under the canvas is best! Let the sun dry the pictures and you will be left with a rainbow of colors!
Corn starch
Baking Soda
Water
Washable paint or washable water color paint
Mix 1/4 C of corn starch, 1/4 C of baking soda, and 1/4 C of water. Add in coloring of choice and shake bottle well.
