Jun 12, 2017 ● By The Hood Magazine
This past Saturday 'Hood was at Science Fest with a table full of slime! We had several different colors and texture variations that was fun for kids of all ages. Add some beads, glitter, and toy cars to squish in the slime and you are sure to have endless entertainment. We had several requests for the recipe, so be sure to grab these simple ingredients and whip up a batch at home!

3 - 4oz. bottles of Elmer's Washable White Glue
1 1/2 TBSP. of baking soda
3 TBSP. of contact lens solution
Mix together glue and baking soda and food coloring of your choice. Add in contact lens solution and continue to mix to see your slime form. Add more baking soda for a tougher texture. Use extra contact solution to make it less sticky, all gives it more of a wet feel. Substitute Elmer's Clear Glue to get a transparent rubbery slime! Play around with your ingredients and have fun!

Fluffy Rainbow Slime

3-4 Cups shaving cream. (Make sure it's shaving cream and not gel!)
1 -4oz. bottle of Elmer's Washable White Glue
1/2 tsp. of baking soda
1 TBSP. of contact lens solution
Put shaving cream in a bowl and add in a couple drops of food coloring. Mix in your glue and then baking soda. Lastly, add your contact solution. Just like previous recipe, play around with your ingredients. If it feels too sticky while you are mixing add a little more contact solution. Repeat directions with using different colors to form a rainbow of slime!
