Grilled Green beans

Aug 27, 2015 01:36PM ● By Hood Magazine

  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 -3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 -3 sheets heavy-duty aluminum foil

Put green beans on a sheet of aluminum foil large enough to fold and seal. You may need to fold two sheets together.

Drizzle olive oil over the beans.

Add minced garlic,, salt and pepper to taste.

Toss green beans with tongs until well coated.

Add water and fold aluminum foil together at the top and pinch the sides closed.

Cook green bean pouch on the grill.

Notes: If you are going to be grilling the main entrée put the beans on while the grill is heating up to get them going. The beans will get some extra time on the high heat before you move them aside for the main dish. When I open the grill lid to flip the main dish I usually will give the pooch a shake, or stir. It will take the beans about 20 minutes to cook depending on the BTU of the grill.
