There are many life-enhancing benefits of essential oils and with so many brands and varieties available it is hard to know where to start.  If you are ready to test the waters, we recommend starting with the three basic essential oils: peppermint, lavender and lemon. These three oils can be used in a variety of ways from soothing a small child with allergies to everyday cooking. Not all essential oils are ingestible, so be sure to check labels and find a brand that fits your need and lifestyle.

Lemon: Simply add lemon oil to your everyday water to refresh and give you or your child a healthy boost throughout the day.

Peppermint and Lavender: Great to use for colds or allergies. By placing a few drops of peppermint on each side of your neck, or adding it with lavender to your diffuser at night, these oils help to open your airway allowing for less congestion and a more peaceful night sleep.

Oregano: A single essential oil to have in your collection placing it with fractionated coconut oil on the bottom of your feet will help boot your immune system. It is also a great precautionary habit to simply add one drop to your water when seasonal allergies are high.

On Guard: This custom blend consists of wild orange peel, clove bud, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus leaf/stem and rosemary leaf/flower oils. ON GUARD protects against the environmental threats, purifies the skin while promoting healthy circulation, along with supporting healthy immune functions.

Digestzen: A healthy immune system starts with what we put in our months. The DigestZen blend aids the digestions of food, soothes the upset stomach and helps maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract. DigestZen is also is a great aid to help with motion sickness in both children and adults.

Using doTERRA’s single oil Melaleuca, which is most commonly known as “Tea Tree”, used with coconut oil will help the sting go away and aid in faster healing of the cut or abrassion. Melaleuca can also be used for skin irritations, strengthen of nails, and protects against environmental season threats.

Terrasheild: With living in South Dakota there are a lot of environmental season threats, including pesky insects. The TerraShield blend acts as an effective, natural repellent to insects and is safe for the whole family to use.

Citrus Bliss: With the fall approaching fast and schools activities beginning essential oils are a great way to relax and unwind. Add some to a rollerball and roll onto your wrist and neck or place a few drops in a diffuser to help your home smell refreshing and welcoming. Citrus Bliss helps reduce stress, positively affects mood with energizing and refreshing properties.
