Top Tips & Tricks for Making Caramel Apples
- Sand the apples before dipping. Use a fine grade sandpaper to rough up the apple, wash. dry well and then dip!
- Chill the apples before dipping, it will help the caramel stick and set quicker.
- After you have dipped your apple into the caramel, continue holding your apple upside down for a few seconds and use a spoon to just gently scrape excess caramel off the bottom of the apple.Doing this will prevent the caramel “puddle” when you place your apple onto the baking sheet.
