From the Midwest to LA: Perspectives of a Professional Illustrator & Animator
Join us in the Belbas Theater on Wednesday, March 30 for a talk and Q & A with Lamont Hunt, sponsored by ADwërks and the South Dakota Arts Council. Lamont Hunt grew up near Rowena, South Dakota and now works as an illustrator and animator in the Los Angeles area. Hunt has worked as an animator and designer in Sioux Falls, Minneapolis, Taiwan, and Los Angeles. His animation credits include PBS’s "Sid the Science Guy," the award-winning short “Work Sucks!” and the upcoming short film “One Per Person.” Lamont Hunt’s current projects include the upcoming feature film "The Nut Job 2," as well as several personal projects through his own company, DakotaKid Creations. Come learn about the field of animation from a professional animator! This FREE talk is presented in conjunction with Lamont Hunt’s exhibition, "The Dakota Kid," on view in the Shultz Gallery of the Visual Arts Center through June 5, 2016.
