As children get older, it becomes increasingly more important that they learn to take responsibility for their actions. Using collaborative problem solving established by Dr. Ross Green, author of "The Explosive Child,” presenters will teach parents how to solve behavioral problems by working with their teen or tween. Attendees will learn effective discipline techniques, appropriate consequences, follow-through, and the power struggles to avoid. The session will be presented by Joanna Zimmer-Dingman, MA, and Renee Bracey, MA, home-based therapists with Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. in Sioux Falls.

The sessions will be broadcast through the Dakota Digital Network (DDN) at sites in Sioux Falls (Wegner Health Center at 1400 W. 22nd Street), Rapid City (School of Mines and Technology Classroom Building) and Salem (McCook Central School. Room 126) and be available throughout the state online via the internet at 7 p.m. (Central Time) / 6 p.m. (Mountain Time). Visit under the Family Life/Parent Education Series tab for details on how to join the live session via the internet or call 1-800-640-4553.
