Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation THIS CLASS IS FOR THE PUBLIC & DOES NOT MEET LIFEGUARD REQUIREMENTS The purpose of each course is to give individuals the opportunity to learn and practice content within a formal course setting. The course format optimizes a participant's ability to successfully complete the knowledge and skills evaluations of CPR and AED. An instructor will give the written test, and upon passing, will provide the participant with signals of the victim's conditions for which the participant should provide proper care. The YWCA program is intended to train individuals in the skill and knowledge needed to be certified in CPR and AED. The training is approximately a 4 hour course. Certification requirements: Pass one written test with a minimum grade of 80% or better on each section Successfully complete four final skill scenarios Successfully performs all critical skills and participate in class
