Mommy Gets Fit Update (Chelsea Q&A)

1.        How is your journey going?

My journey has been going very well. Has it been easy all the time? No, but I have stayed focused and dedicated to get to my end result. I have grown an appreciation and love for working out. I look forward to that time of day that I get to work on myself.

2.        What has been your biggest lesson learned so far?

The biggest lesson that I have learned is losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is long term. It does not end for me after Mommy Gets Fit. It is forever! I now know that it may take a while to reach some of my goals and that is ok! I just have to stick with it


3. What type of progress are you seeing in yourself?

I am seeing so many changes! In my choices, body and the way I feel. There may be areas/goals I have not reached yet, but others I have smashed out of the ballpark.  Again, I have always had the mindset of a quick fix. I’m realizing I must keep this up forever and if it means slow and steady I am ok with that. Each week I see a change and I am excited! Even if it’s a small change, it is a step towards a healthier me.

4. What has been the biggest challenge?

I think getting over what others think. This has always been a challenge for me. The biggest fear I have through this whole challenge is what are others going to think about me. Are they going to think I lost enough weight? Do I look stronger? I have come to realize it’s not all about what others think. I hope people realize it’s not an easy fix. It took me a long time to realize that. There so many other goals that I have achieved on top of losing the weight and looking better.  Things like getting three perfect workouts at KoKo FitClub. I wanted to achieve this goal by the end of April and I did it by the beginning of March! I could not believe it! We need to celebrate these small successes too.

5. How are you feeling overall?

I feel great! I have way more energy than before starting this journey. I hardly had enough energy to get through all the nightly routines with the kids. Now, I can keep up with no problem! I’m starting to gain confidence in myself. Confidence in the way I feel and look. I am loving the way I feel. This is what drives me to continue. The way I feel!
