Taking the time to enjoy some self-care at home is a great thing! Making the effort to engage in an activity you love or purposely setting aside time that you normally don’t for yourself is a needed part of all of our weeks.

DIY Face Masks are a fun, easy, and inexpensive way to treat yourself! While they might not be the most effective for treating your skin (no retinol in these), they are relaxing and enjoyable! The best part is that you probably have most of these ingredients at home already. Do it yourself face masks could be made tonight!

If you have a teen or tween in your life, these DIY facemasks are a perfect opportunity to do something together! Make it a spa night at home with facemakes, nail painting, and maybe a rom-com to end the night with.

Check out this post for all our favorite self-care products for busy moms! In it, we talk about one of our favorite facemasks from Revision Skincare (medical grade!).

Check out a few DIY Face Mask recipes below!

Hydrating Avocado Mask:

  • Ingredients: ½ ripe avocado, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon plain yogurt.
  • Instructions: Mash the avocado in a bowl, then mix in honey and yogurt until smooth. Apply to clean skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

Soothing Oatmeal Mask:

  • Ingredients: 2 tablespoons oatmeal, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon plain yogurt.
  • Instructions: Grind the oatmeal into a fine powder, then mix with honey and yogurt. Apply the mixture to your face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.

Brightening Turmeric Mask:

  • Ingredients: 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon plain yogurt, 1 teaspoon honey.
  • Instructions: Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Be cautious as turmeric can stain fabrics, so consider using an old t-shirt while wearing this mask.

Refreshing Cucumber Mask:

  • Ingredients: ½ cucumber (peeled and grated), 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel, 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
  • Instructions: Combine grated cucumber, aloe vera gel, and lemon juice in a bowl. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with cool water.

Exfoliating Coffee Mask:

  • Ingredients: 2 tablespoons coffee grounds (used or unused), 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon coconut oil.
  • Instructions: Mix coffee grounds, honey, and coconut oil until well combined. Gently massage the mixture onto your face in circular motions, then let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
